On February 22, 2025, we are excited to host the K-12 International Schools Chess Open, and registration has already kicked off with great enthusiasm! Currently, students of both Chinese and international backgrounds living in Shanghai are signing up in droves, and the excitement is palpable.
截至11月30日，报名选手中包括来自中国、美国、中国香港、加拿大、德国、澳大利亚、荷兰和法国等多个国家地区的学生，他们都在上海生活和学习。这次比赛不仅吸引了许多国际象棋爱好者，也展示了各国学生对这项运动的热爱和支持。
As of November 30, the registered participants include students from multiple countries, such as China, the United States, Chinese Hong Kong, Canada, Germany, Australia, the Netherlands, and France, all of whom are currently living and studying in Shanghai. This competition not only attracts many chess enthusiasts but also showcases the passion and support for the game from students of various nationalities.
美国的选手报名最多，紧随其后的是中国和中国香港的选手，这将是一场国际化的比赛！参赛学校遍布上海各大国际学校，像上海美国学校、上海中学国际部、包玉刚实验学校、上海英国学校等，都是本次比赛的参与者，我们欢迎每一个学校的选手一同展现风采！
The United States leads in the number of registrations, followed closely by China and Hong Kong. This will be a truly international competition! Participating schools come from a wide range of Shanghai’s top international schools, such as Shanghai American School, Shanghai High School International Division, Pudong New Area Experimental School, and Shanghai British School. We welcome students from all schools to showcase their talents!
比赛分组涵盖从幼儿园到高中（K-12）的所有年龄段，确保每位选手都能在合适的组别中一展身手。男生占了大多数（82.2%），但我们也希望更多的女生加入，展示她们的智慧和棋艺！
The competition spans all age groups from kindergarten through high school (K-12), ensuring that every participant can compete at the appropriate level. While the majority of participants are male (82.2%), we also encourage more female players to join and demonstrate their intelligence and skills on the chessboard!
